AIR PROBES



AIR PLUG GAUGES –

Air plug –gauge consists of a cylindrical hardened steel body, hard – chrome plated and precisely ground, to provide the guide needed for air jet positioning inside the bore

The nozzles through which the air is guided are recessed below the body diameter of the plug. It has two – fold function; to protect the jets from damage by direct contact and make the air gauge measurement essentially non-contact. The air –flow too, has a self-cleaning effect on the gauging surface.

AIR RING GAUGE –

Air Ring is made of hardened HCHC steel, precision ground to provide designed clearance between the shaft and the jets.

The back-pressure is generated when the component is inserted into the ring, which is correspondingly read as the comparative size of the part.

Carbide Sleeve fitted Air Ring body gives better wear resistance and gives 4 times more life than Standard Hardened Air Ring

Air Rings are supplied from 3mm - 180mm, as per the requirement for measuring a through or shouldered shaft. Two Jet rings to measure size, taper and ovality; three jets to measure size, taper and lobbing. Special Air rings for checking multiple diameters and lobbing or taper etc. can be provided.

 


AIR SNAP GAUGE -

Air Snap Gauge enables direct measurement of machine, when the job component is in between centers like pin and journal diameters on a crank-shaft, etc.

Consists of hardened rectangular steel body precisely ground & lapped to maintain the clearance in the work piece.

The Air Snaps are provided with carbide pads to give high wear resistance and positive V- block resting. They are available from 10mm-180mm.

Special Air Snaps can be provided for measurement of crowning on journal diameter or to measure multiple diameters.

Multi Bore System for checking Multi Bores for crankcase (8 to 32 Bores can be measured; displayed parameters are diameter and ovality, One Diameter at a time).

One of the key features of the Pro Gauging and SPC Software is the customization of the screens used for measurement. This software can use digital pictures of actual gauges or parts to assist the operator in following the sequential steps to measure a part and collect data.
